To get started with Ledger Live, go to ledger live and download the software for your computer or mobile device. Once you’ve downloaded and installed Ledger Live, open the software and connect your Ledger device to your computer or phone using the provided USB cable.
When prompted, enter your PIN code on your device to unlock it. Once your device is unlocked, you’ll see a list of supported apps on your device. Find the app for the cryptocurrency you want to use (for example, Bitcoin or Ethereum) and press both buttons on your device at the same time to launch it.
If you’re using Ledger Live for the first time, you’ll be asked to set up a new account or import an existing one. If you’re setting up a new account, follow the prompts on screen to create an account name and password. If you’re importing an existing account, select the account type from the list and enter your seed phrase when prompted.
Once you’ve set up or imported an account, you’ll see your account balance and transaction history in Ledger Live. To send crypto from yourLedger device, click on the “Send” tab and follow the prompts on screen. To receive crypto, click on the “Receive” tab and either display or copy/paste your receiving address. You can also add a token by clicking on the “Add Token” tab; simply search for the token’s contract address or ticker symbol and follow the prompts on screen.
To check your transaction history or account balance without opening Ledger Live, you can use the “View Accounts” feature in the settings menu; this will display your accounts and balances in real-time without having to open Ledger Live each time.
